We were really founded in 1984! The MacTechGroup has its roots in the old BCS and we just kept going. It's designed for Macintosh and iOS programmers, iPhone and iPad technical discussions. If you are writing Mac or iPhone code, or want to find out how, this is your group.
Our group is now in the application process to gain tax status 501 (C)3 non profit. We are an organization formed by volunteers who work in the best soup kitchen anywhere. Its dinner is served every Saturday night and many women with children expressed an interest in volunteering but could not get childcare on Saturdays and were generally not free on Saturday nights. We decided we would like to have a group within the meal program made up of moms who want to volunteer but need child care …
